Heidi Blair Alaska shares 3 reasons why you should visit Alaska

If you’re planning your vacation and thinking about where to go, it’s a good idea to take into account the advice of someone who lives in the area you’re planning to visit. Heidi Blair Alaska, says she thinks you should take her advice and visit Alaska if you’re looking for a fun place. Anchorage has plenty of amazing things to do, and it’s well worth visiting if you want to get away from the bustle of everyday life.

1) Experience the beauty of nature

There’s no doubt that some of your best memories will be formed in nature, where you can’t help but notice all of those little things that most people overlook. The wildlife is beautiful, and when you go hiking in scenic areas like Denali National Park and Preserve or Valley of 10,000 Smokes, you can’t help but feel inspired. If you haven’t had a chance to visit any National Parks yet, it would be a good idea to start with these two. And if you have been there before, take another trip—you might find something new. You never know what you might discover on an adventure!

2) Explore glaciers

When visiting Anchorage, you can go on a tour of nearby glaciers. The beauty of them is breathtaking, and they give you a real sense of what makes Alaska so incredibly unique. There’s nothing quite like standing on top of a glacier as it groans under your feet and sends shards of ice falling into rivers far below. If you visit during winter, you might even get lucky enough to see some of these massive chunks of ice break off in a dramatic fashion. For most people, seeing a glacier up close for the first time is an unforgettable experience that will stay with them for years to come.

3) Learn about wildlife

A great place to start your trip in Anchorage, where you’ll be able to find plenty of wildlife. From sea lions and whales to bears and eagles, there are lots of interesting creatures for you to see. And why not go even further afield? You might enjoy a trip to Denali National Park, which is full of wildlife including moose, red foxes, and caribou. The park also has some beautiful views, especially when it comes to glaciers and mountains. If you’re lucky enough to visit during the summer months, you can witness beautiful wildflowers blooming throughout.
