How is the food delivered with a multi restaurant ordering system?

A multi restaurant ordering system is a type of software that allows customers to order food from different restaurants and have it delivered to their location. The customer will place a call to the restaurant of their choice to place their order, in which the restaurant takes the order and sends it to another location for fulfilment. The restaurants then send a notification that they have received an order from the customer. The other restaurants are then notified by email or text message when they have been chosen as part of the customer’s multi-restaurant order.

After placing an order, customers can modify it according to their preferences without having to call back the restaurant or contact their credit card company. In one embodiment, the customer can specify a preference for an item that is temporarily unavailable and the system finds another restaurant in which to fulfil the order.
