It is very important for anyone practicing semen retention to have a practice to ‘digest’ this raw sexual energy that builds up, or else the body will have nocturnal emissions from time to time.

If not dealt with, this will carry over into the dream state, when our subconscious desires are fully expressed. Another major cause of wet dreams is being too hot during sleep and having heavy blankets pressure you. Try to sleep in a cool room with minimal blankets. Also, a cold shower/ice bath before bedtime is very helpful.

 

Some easy ways to avoid wet dreams include taking cold showers/ice baths before bed, certain meditation practices, vigorous exercise, and qigong.

 

Another very useful method that has been a game-changer for me is to ‘program’ yourself before going to sleep. Spend a few minutes telling yourself that you will not have a wet dream and that it is important to keep cultivating the sexual energy you are building up.
