Premenstrual Syndrome in Women

Premenstrual syndrome, a common cyclic disease of young and middle-aged women, is identified by emotional and physical signs that consistently happen throughout the luteal stage of the menstrual cycle. Women with more critical affective symptoms are classified as having a premenstrual dysphoric disorder.

Premenstrual symptoms and premenstrual dysphoric disease are examinations of exclusion; therefore, alternative solutions for symptoms must be considered before either examination is made. The diseases can confirm with a wide variety of signs, including distress, mood lability, intestinal pain, breast tenderness, headache, and tiredness. Women with moderate signs should be guided about lifestyle changes, including a healthy diet, sodium and caffeine restraint, exercise, and stress reduction.
