Review of Babygirl: Flaws Yet Refreshing With Strong Performances
Nicole Kidman’s “Babygirl Lookmovie” is a virtuoso performance. That’s all I have to say about the movie. Antonio Banderas is good as a distracted husband, and Harris Dickinson is good as a cunning jerk. In the movie, Esther McGregor has a charming little side story. In addition to lacking any appealing characters, “Babygirl” is not a feminist film. The film’s conclusion is ridiculous and shallow. The sex scenes are not explicit, and the cinematography is occasionally imaginative. However, the implausible conclusion of “Babygirl” obscures any “truth.”
