Tangible & Intangible Assets | Franklin I. Ogele

Assets are classified as per their characteristics and one of their characteristics is their physical existence.

There are two types of assets when we classified them on the basis of existence. Tangible assets are those assets that physically exist and can be touched and felt for example furniture, machinery, etc whereas Intangible Assets are those which does not have any physical existence and cannot be touched such as goodwill, trademark, etc.
