The CDC’s FluView Interactive Provides Insight Into Influenza’s Spread Throughout Flu Season

The CDC’s FluView Interactive website provides insight into the spread of influenza throughout the flu season. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has released data from the 2022-2023 flu season through their FluView Interactive website. The data shows that “A” strains of the flu virus are most prevalent this year, and hospital visits for influenza-like illnesses (ILI) have begun to rise. Additionally, flu infections are most common among individuals between the ages of 5 and 64, and the CDC estimates at least 15 million cases so far. The CDC is continuing to recommend vaccination against the flu, but anyone who has been diagnosed with a flu shot injury or illness may be entitled to financial compensation under the VICP. If a person experiences a flu shot injury or illness, they may be entitled to financial compensation through the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.
