The Granville Island Pet Treatery

Our business is fun, warm and fuzzy feelings, and OMG looks on their faces, drawn from the particular link between pets and their pet owners, unconditional devotion to health, and pursuit of happiness (and a frisbee). We make nutritious protein goodies. Too tasty to ignore. Dogs and cats are quickly making them their favorite treat. All shapes and sizes. Which explains why The Granville Island Pet Treatery has become a protein and biscuit treat powerhouse like a pet's ears hearing the packet open. We can keep them healthy. We know what makes them happy. Vancouver's first pet bakery opens in a small boutique pet shop on Granville Island. The bakery, located in “the Caboose” (an historic railroad caboose from Granville Island's industrial past), quickly becomes part of the neighborhood. Stuart Scher buys the bakery in 2011. The Granville Island Pet Treatery, the bakery's new moniker, launches with artisanal, hand-crafted delights for Vancouverites and tourists.
