Indian boxer Lovelina reaches Olympic quarterfinals

TOKYO: First-time Olympian Indian boxer Lovelina Borgohen (69kg) put on a stellar performance. On Tuesday, he advanced to the quarter-finals by defeating Germany’s Natin Appetz in a hard-fought match. Lovelina, the only Indian boxer to enter the ring, defeated Apetz, 11 years her senior, 3-2 in the pre-quarterfinals.
