Product introduction of Polyisobutylene

Polyisobutylene (PIB) is a homopolymer of isobutylene. Due to different preparation methods and process conditions, the molecular weight of polyisobutylene can vary in a certain range:

1. The molecular weight is different – low molecular weight, medium molecular weight and high molecular weight polyisobutylene;

2. 2. The mole fraction of the end vinyl group is different – high activity polyisobutylene and low activity polyisobutylene;

3. 3. Hygiene level is not good In general, materials with a molecular weight between 350 and 3500 are called low molecular weight polyisobutene, Products with a molecular weight between 10000 and 100000 are medium molecular weight products, and those with a molecular weight between 100000 and 10 million are high molecular weight products. Products with molecular weight less than 30000 are usually liquid, while materials with higher molecular weight are solid.

Polyisobutylene (PIB) has very important applications in lubricating oil additives, polymer materials processing, medicine and cosmetics, food additives and other fields.
