A dump trailer (or tipper trailer) is a trailer used to transport gravel and loose construction materials. It includes rear dump trailers and side dump trailers. The dumping semi-trailer is equipped with hydraulic pistons and an open-box bed. The front or side of the bed can be lifted to dump the gravel on the bed from the trailer when it reaches the delivery location.
