Brief Introduction
Saw palmetto extract is prepared from the the fruit of serenoa repens, which is the sole species currently classified in the genus Serenoa. Saw palmetto extract is rich in fatty acid and phytosterols. Saw palmetto extract has been used in traditional medicine for a variety of indications, most notably benign prostatic hyperplasia.
