The SMC Process
The SMC-sheet will be cut roughly to the geometrical shape(round, square and so on)according to the shape of the structures (regarding the weight of the finished part – not the volume!).To put the SMC-sheet in a heated mould the uncured matrix system will drop its viscosity. The system will flow to fill the complete mould under the pressure.In parallel the curing process is starting and the cured part will be demoulded and trimmed for the final shape after a short while. This process technology can be used for mass production (automotive industry).
