Before an idea is ever fabricated or prototyped, digital prototyping is the first stage. It is less costly than creating tangible prototypes. By its very nature, “digital” can be seen but not grasped. Even though a lot of digital prototypes resemble the genuine thing, they are touch-only. 3D CAD programmes like Onshape or Fusion 360 are used to create digital prototypes.
