Youth Chinese Test

Chinese test for primary and middle school students (YCT) is an international standardized test of Chinese proficiency, which tests the ability of non-first language students to use Chinese in their daily life and study. The aim of this course is to enhance the students’ self-confidence and sense of achievement in learning Chinese, the passing rate of YCT is 98% .

What is YCT

Chinese Test for Primary and Secondary School Students (YCT) is an international Chinese proficiency test, which examines the ability of primary and secondary school students whose Chinese is not their first language to use Chinese in their daily life and study.

YCT standard course evaluates students’ ability to use Chinese in life and social interaction, which is different from the curriculum examination in schools;

Students who have passed each level of the YCT Chinese test will receive a certificate issued by Hanban, China.

YCT Course Introduction

YCT 1

The course is suitable for primary and secondary school students with zero Chinese foundation.

Master the 80 most commonly used words and related grammar knowledge. After completing this course, you can take YCT Level 1 exam. You can understand and use the most commonly used Chinese words and sentences, and have the ability to learn Chinese further.

YCT 2

This course is suitable for primary and middle school students with a primary level of Chinese and a vocabulary of about 80.

Master 150 most commonly used words and related grammar knowledge. After completing this course, you can take YCT Level 2 exam, and you can understand and use some very simple Chinese words and sentences to answer questions.

YCT 3

This course is suitable for elementary and middle school students with a vocabulary of about 150.

Master 300 most commonly used words and related grammar knowledge. After completing the course study at this stage, you can take the YCT Level 3 exam, and you can communicate simply and directly with familiar daily topics in Chinese, reaching an excellent level of primary Chinese.

YCT 4

This course is suitable for middle-level Chinese students with a vocabulary of about 300.

Master 600 most commonly used words and related grammar knowledge. After completing this course, you can take the YCT Level 4 exam. You can use Chinese to complete basic communication tasks in life and study. When traveling in China, you can cope with most communication tasks.
