FUTURE OF LARGE GRAPHITE BLOCK
In recent years, the construction of graphite industrial park has begun to take shape, and the industrial chain has gradually expanded and extended, setting off a boom of deep processing. It is understood that graphite is rich in resources and has great development potential. According to the current proven reserves, China has 72% of the world’s graphite reserves, and about 70% of the national total production capacity.
Nearly 50 enterprises have entered the graphite industrial park, which has become the largest graphite production area and graphite deep processing technology center in China. It is planned to focus on developing the hard material industry chain of fine graphite powder – high purity graphite – emery – abrasives – diamond composite chip during the 12th Five-Year Plan period by means of investment attraction and technical cooperation.
ADVANTAGES OF LARGE GRAPHITE BLOCK
The conductivity of large graphite blocks is 100 times higher than that of ordinary non-metallic ores. Thermal conductivity exceeds steel, iron, lead and other metal materials. Thermal conductivity decreases with increasing temperature, and even at extremely high temperatures, graphite becomes an insulating body.
Graphite conducts electricity because each carbon atom in graphite forms only three covalent bonds with other carbon atoms, and each carbon atom still retains one free electron to transfer charge.
