Electro Galvanized Wire Sizes – BWG6 to BWG22 for Different ApplicationsElectro galvanized wire is available in a range of gauges to suit different applications. Thinner wire from BWG20 to BWG22 (approx. 0.89 mm to 0.71 mm) is used for flower tying, craft work, small packaging, and light binding. It is easy to bend by hand and has a clean bright surface. Medium wire from BWG16 to BWG18 (approx. 1.65 mm to 1.24 mm) is a common range for construction binding, mesh weaving, packaging ties, and workshop fastening.
Electro Galvanized Wire is made from low carbon steel wire by drawing and electro galvanizing. It is also called cold galvanized wire or electro galvanized iron wire. The surface is bright and smooth, with a light zinc coating for general rust resistance. It is commonly used for binding, flower tying, wire mesh weaving, fencing accessories, craft work, brush wire, and further processing. Regular sizes are usually from BWG6 to BWG22. Other gauges can be checked according to order. The wire can be supplied in coils, spools, bobbins, straight cut wire, or U type wire.
