Titanium Grade 5, also known as Ti-6Al-4V, is a popular grade of titanium alloy. It is composed of 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium, and the rest is pure titanium. It’s strong, lightweight, and highly corrosion-resistant, making it a popular choice for a variety of applications. With similar thermal and stiffness properties to other alloys, it can be heat-treated for increased tensile strength. Overall, it’s as strong as steel but 45% lighter.
