Welded Gabion Box
Welded gabion boxes are wire mesh containers welded with high quality steel wire, then connected by spirals, assembled with spacers/stiffeners. They can be filled on site with hard durable stone materials to form mass gravity retaining structures. Owing to their inflexibility, welded gabion box can adapt to different settlement or be used in water courses. The surface is passivated and plasticized by processes such as electro-galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing, dip-plastic coating or Galfan(Zinc-aluminium coating).
Welded gabion box applications
Retaining Wall Structures: Used to construct retaining walls that are strong and flexible enough to withstand soil pressure and water flow.
Erosion Control: Effective in preventing soil erosion and controlling river currents.
Bridge Protection: Protects bridge foundations and structures from scour and erosion.
Hydraulic Structures: Used in the construction of dams, culverts, and other hydraulic structures for water management.
Embankment Protection: Secures embankments against washouts and slope failures.
Rockfall Prevention: Minimizes the risk of rockfalls and soil erosion in hilly and mountainous areas.
